Yep, that's right...ANOTHER birthday. We can't seem to figure out how to keep them from getting SO old SO fast in this house! Must be something in the water...guess I should stop drinking it, too!
Anyways, K1 turned 11 earlier this month, and in keeping with her newfound love of horses, she requested a horse-themed birthday party. After searching high and low for anything with horses on it at our local party stores, we found nothing, gave up, and went with red paisley decor and a 'trailride' birthday - complete with weenie roast, cream sodas, cowboy trivia, colored bandanas, trail mix, and a campout 'under the stars' (the glow-in-the-dark kind stuck to our basement ceiling!). It was a fun time filled with 'yee-haws' and giggly girls (the same friends from her previous parties, but somehow EXTRA giggly this year!).

We also had a family 'Hoe Down and Chili Feed' on her actual birth-day, with Grandma and Grandpa and the aunts/uncles/cousins, which is where the first few pictures came from.
It is truly a privilege to watch such an amazing young lady grow and to bear witness to her ongoing relationship with God and ever-maturing love and care for those around her. We are reminded every day why God chose to let us keep her 11 years ago...we love you, trooper!
