Exhaustion.
Relating this morning to a computer with too many open windows as all programs and operations freeze up, shut down.
System failure.
A common response when reaching maximum capacity, a familiar feeling. Stuck fast, unable to act. Knowing it will pass in time as thoughts reprogram, systems reboot.
Gratitude abounds as offers of help and support roll in. Gears begin to unclog, motion slowly resumes. Plans take shape, returning again to action.
Certainly not a debut performance in this life...however, taking notice of something new in this particular experience...
Peace.
No other way to describe that deep-down, unexplainable sense that all will be taken care of, that things are in good Hands. Eerie calm within, even as thoughts remain fuzzy and scattered, still searching for solutions.
Peace.
Growing ever-stronger as hours pass, strikingly more evident now than before. Drawn to the Truth in the quiet of night, revisiting Psalms of promise, hope. Reading,
"Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest...He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; He is my God, and I am trusting Him." Psalm 91:1-2
WILL. We WILL find rest when He is our shelter. A promise worth remembering.
