With our second week of school already complete, we are wondering if time will ever slow down!! We sent K1 off to 5th grade (yes, that's right - FIFTH grade!) and K2 to 3rd grade, and so far all is well. They both enjoy their teachers and are glad to be seeing their friends every day.
So far, the comments about school have been quite fitting. When K2 asked K1 who her 'line leader' was last week, she said they didn't have one, and I said that 5th graders were much too grown up to have line leaders...K1 responded by saying very matter-of-factly, "Well, the girls are, but the boys are still SO childish." :)
When K2 was asked about school after the first day was over, the first thing out of his mouth was something about having new footballs at school in 3 different colors and he couldn't wait to use another color the next day!
Hopefully this year goes as well as all of the rest, just not so fast...
