K2 celebrated his 8th birthday last week, and we had a lot of fun. He invited some friends over for a water party in our backyard, complete with swimming pool, slip-n-slide, squirt guns, and water balloons. His theme was WALL-E, from the latest Disney/Pixar movie, hence the interesting cake creation you see below. It was a great day!
We also had our family over for dinner on his actual birthday, and his menu of choice was a family favorite, Daddy's famous pancakes and eggs...yum. We rounded it out with some sausage, bacon, and strawberries as well. Rather than having cake again, we decided to have "WALL-E waffle bowl sundaes" for dessert...double yum.

K2 got some fun gifts, including a Matt Kenseth/DeWalt (his Nascar hero!) remote control car, a new scooter, a giant soccer ball, a pitch-back net, and other fun outdoor toys. Also, the 8th birthday is when our kiddos get their first official Bible (not a hand-me-down or kiddie version), so he received his new Bible from us, complete with camoflauge cover!
Hard to believe how fast our kids are growing up, but we're so very proud of all of them.
