K3 has been anxiously awaiting his fourth birthday ever since K4 turned two. He knew that his was the next birthday in our family, and he spent those two months trying to decide EVERYTHING for his special day. Each day it was a new theme idea (Little Einsteins, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, WALL-E, Handy Manny, Cars...), a new cake idea, and at LEAST once a day he thought of something new to add to his gift list! Boy were we relieved when the big day finally arrived!
When we took him to the party store to pick out his plates, napkins, and balloons, he was all set on choosing either Handy Manny or Little Einsteins. However, the first thing he saw was Diego, so that's what it was! He was SO excited, and was all set to have his birthday as soon as we got home!
We learned a lot about calendars and spent the next week counting down, and on the Saturday before his birthday, we met some of our friends at a wonderful indoor play center that is 4 stories high and large enough for parents to join their kiddos in the tunnels and slides. We had a great time!
Then, when his birthday was finally here, we decorated the house with green balloons and tons of stuffed animals to make it like a jungle. All of Mom's family joined us for homemade pizza, cake, presents, and a few rounds of 'Around the World' ping-pong. It turned out to be a great day!
